How long is the buggy tour in Madeira?
You can choose the classic 2h30 tour or the extended 4h tour. Both depart at 09:30 and 15:00 from our base in Porto da Cruz. In summer (April to August) there is also an 18:00 departure for the 2h30 tour.
Should I choose the 2h30 or the 4h buggy tour?
The 2h30 tour is perfect for a first off-road experience or a busy day. If your group thinks 2h30 is not enough, the 4h tour adds 1h30 on the trails, with more viewpoints and photo stops, at the same price per minute.
How much does the buggy tour cost?
250€ per buggy for the 2h30 tour and 400€ per buggy for the 4h tour. Each buggy seats up to 4 people. You book online and pay on the day.
How many people fit in one buggy?
Up to 4 people: one driver and three passengers. The price is per buggy, so it is a great option for families and groups of friends.
Do I need experience or a driving licence?
No off-road experience is needed. The buggy is automatic and easy to drive, and you get a full safety briefing before you start. The driver needs a valid Category B (car) driving licence.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes and sunglasses. You will probably get dusty and maybe muddy. Gloves, waterproof pants, waterproof jackets and full body suits can be added when you book.
Can you pick us up from our hotel?
Yes, pick up and drop off is available as an add-on: 50€ from Santana or Machico, 70€ from Santa Cruz and 100€ from Funchal, per group. We confirm the exact time and address after you book.
Where is the meeting point?
Caminho da Chã, Porto da Cruz, Madeira. Free parking is available. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure.
What is the cancellation policy?
